Bookmaking Class for Adults!

Where: Dakota Discovery Museum, 1300 McGovern Ave., Mitchell, SD

Cost: $35 per person (Visa, MasterCard & Discover accepted)
Limit: 15 participants (registration deadline is Sept. 13 by 3:00 PM)
Description: Books, journals, albums and artists books can all be made with relatively simple materials and tools. Using professional book binding techniques and materials, participants will learn several methods for making their own books. Each participant will make their own personal journal, as well as learn other binding techniques to use in future projects.
This class is being offered as part of The Big Read in partnership with Dakota Wesleyan University . For more information about The Big Read please visit the National Endowment for the Arts. The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Arts Midwest designed to restore reading to the center of American culture.
